St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community and the Knights of Columbus Council #6125 are proud to announce that Lou and Cathy Cardinale are the Family of the Month for December.
As a couple, the Cardinales have been faithful and active parishioners in their church communities for over 60 years. Prior to moving to Florida in 1998, they lived in Omaha, Nebraska, where they attended St. Wenceslaus Church. Lou was a founding member of their Knights of Columbus Council there, and both he and Kathy were active in the parish.
Lou and Cathy were among the 100 original families of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community and remain among its stalwart members. Lou has been an usher from the beginning, and until recently, Cathy was one of the ladies joyfully welcoming families at the door of the Church before the 9:00 am Mass. Lou and Cathy lead the praying of the Rosary each weekday morning following the 8:00 am Mass, a ministry they have faithfully performed since 2007, when Mass first began to be celebrated in Holy Cross Hall.
