The Family of the Month award has been presented by the Knights of Columbus as part of their Faith in Action initiative. This past month’s award is being presented to a family whose passionate involvement in the community and to the country has recognized them as faithful servants. St. John the Evangelist community and the Knights of Columbus Council # 6125 are proud to announce that Marie Regan is the Family of the Month for July. CONGRATULATIONS!
Marie was born in Wilmington, Delaware. She was raised and educated, and became a member of the State Department, as an advisor in Public Health in Vietnam. She speaks Vietnamese. Marie last resided in Miami where she taught nursing for 40 years and was in the Air Force Reserve as a flight nurse for 11 years. Her dear husband, who had served in the Air Force for 50 years and who had also been a P.O.W. for a period of time, passed in 2008. Marie moved to Melbourne, and in 2009, found a wonderful Church, St. John the Evangelist. Marie was a charter member of CCW and was on the scholarship committee, a member of the Charismatic Prayer Group, was in the first Christ Renews His Parish Retreat, and has been a volunteer for Divine Mercy Radio, AM920. She was a Lector for a number of years, a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound, and she has been an RCIA Sponsor. Thank you Marie Regan for your commitment to serve.
