St. John the Evangelist has a Middle School and a High School Youth Ministry Program. Both programs meet after the 4:30 mass on Sunday evenings. Members will have a chance to meet new people and have a good time while growing in their relationship with God. We are involved in learning more about our faith through education, play, service, and prayer.
We are always praying for adults who want to join our youth team. The team meets for planning, ongoing training, decision making, and for fun. Consider offering your skills in ministering to our terrific youth.
New youth participants are always welcome. We meet most Sunday evenings. Please consult the parish bulletin for details.

A Message from Sean Farrell, our Youth Ministry Coordinator:
Our new year of Youth Ministry is already upon us. It has been an absolutely incredible summer and I am excited to introduce another wonderful year of faith development, fellowship and service for not only our High School Youth Ministry but also for our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classes now being referred to as Junior Youth Ministry or “JYM”. I am working to bring a new sense of unity among the Junior High grade levels and also will be working to bring more events to the parish that the Junior Youth Ministry can participate in.
One change worth noting this coming school year will deal with the Sunday 4:30 Mass. Our parish is working towards our youth becoming more involved in their parish and in the celebration of The Mass. When our children feel a greater involvement and responsibility in the Liturgical celebration, they will have a greater stake in their faith and their parish community. Each grade will take turns “sponsoring” the Mass by volunteering to greet, read, work as an usher or as a media person (projector screen) or sing in the choir. The High School Youth Ministry will be taking the first mass on August 14th. The eighth grade will follow during the Mass on August 21st and so on. I hope in the coming months and years St. John’s becomes a Parish that is known for inclusive approach to Religious Education and Youth Ministry. I look forward to a great level of support from each of you, the parents and parishioners, in making this coming year one that our children will remember for bringing them closer to God and their Catholic friends here at Saint John the Evangelist.
I look forward to meeting with each of you and having an exceptional year of fun and faith with your students. It gives me a great feeling of honor to work with such a gifted and driven group of young people here locally in the community that I grew up with here in Brevard County. My Youth Ministry Experience through Junior High School and High School defined my life and put me on a Christ centered direction. I hope to bring this same direction to the youth here at Saint John’s.
