Annual Harvest Food Drive
One Weekend ONLY October 24 & 25
to benefit Migrant Farm Workers of Fellsmere, Florida
After all Saturday and Sunday Masses Oct 24-25, we will conduct a special food collection to help families who are supported by the Fellsmere Branch of the Farmworkers Association of Florida. This is the same organization whose field workers — men, women, teens — have benefited from our Long Sleeve Shirt Campaign conducted in previous years during Lent.
Your donation of non-perishable food is a tangible way to do something meaningful for these families who live not so very far from our Viera community but whose lives are, for the most part, very different from our own.
Please drop off your food donations in the church lobby. Be sure to check the expiration dates on your donated items. Your kindness and generosity will be very much appreciated.
The following food items would be very welcomed:
Dry beans — black beans, lentils, black-eyed peas. Canned vegetables, Rice, Soups, Ketchup, Flour, Vegetable seeds for family gardens. Mustard, Cereals (lowsugar), Cooking oil, Masa powder (for tortillas), Pasta, Pasta sauce, Peanut butter & jelly, Sugar.
