St. John the Evangelist community and the Knights of Columbus are pleased to name The Wicks as the Family of the Month for December.
Anjanette and Ryan Wicks have been married for 31 years and they have two sons, Trey and Cameron. They have been St. John the Evangelist parishioners since moving to Viera in 2007.
Anjanette volunteered to teach 2nd and 3rd-grade religious education at St. John's from 2008 until 2020. It brought Anjanette so much joy, that it convinced her sons Trey and Cameron to assist with the religious education classes of the SJE children during their high school years. Both of her sons enjoyed working with the children just as much as she did.
At the height of the pandemic in 2020, under the guidance of Father John, Anjanette started the Gratia Plena ministry. She enjoys sharing her God-given gifts and talents and watching others involved in this ministry do the same — i.e. to spiritually grow the Gratia Plena ministry, known as the fabulous 40+ women’s ministry.
In the spring of 2021, Anjanette started Christian Fun Day, an annual spiritual community event geared towards motivating our youth to keep their faith alive by helping map their future for success.
Anjanette is a member of Christ Renews His Parish Women's group, the Feed My Flock ministry, and Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Anjanette also supports/volunteers with St. Stephen's Way, Family Promise of Brevard, Senior Life community events, the United Faith organization, to name a few. Anjanette and Ryan both feel blessed to be a part of the St. John the Evangelist family. The St. John’s community applauds their dedication and involvement. Thank you!
