July Family of the Month

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community and the Knights of Columbus Council #6125 are proud to announce that Tiffany Wieckowski and Douglas (“Anthony”) Moran are the Family of the Month for July 2024. Tiffany and Anthony have been devoted members of St. John’s since 2018, driving all the way here from Orlando each week to attend Mass and participate in ministry.

The Moran and Wieckowski families were long-time members of Divine Mercy Catholic Church and residents of Merritt Island, where Tiffany and Anthony grew up and attended Merritt Island High School. They didn’t meet until 2014 at Eastern Florida State College, where Anthony was a sophomore and Tiffany was taking several courses before finishing high school.

Anthony graduated with a degree in business and is a manger for a silver coin minting business in the Melbourne area. Tiffany graduated with a degree in nursing. A full-time nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Nemours Hospital in Orlando, she will be finishing her certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner this December. They were married by Fr. John in St. Augustine in 2020.

In college, Tiffany was involved in the Catholic Student Organization. Being around other young Catholics helped her feel and stay more connected to her faith. This positive experience led to a desire to influence and inspire young people in their quest for faith. She began by volunteering with St. John’s Vacation Bible School. When Fr. John helped prepare Tiffany and Anthony for marriage, he also guided her into SJE’s Faith Formation program. She partnered with Schonda Rodriguez to transform the parish’s Middle School Anchored in Faith program, and she has been the program’s Youth Minister for the past 4 years.

Anthony was fully received into the Catholic church in 2018. He became a daily Mass participant and, shortly after their wedding, a group leader with the Middle School Anchored in Faith program. He loves sharing his journey into the church with our youth.

Tiffany’s parent’s, Terri and Tom, began coming to St. John's in 2018. After hearing about the beautiful and inspiring homilies here, they came to Mass, met Father John, and immediately knew that they had found their new church home. They feel so blessed by St. John’s community and family, and they are eager to serve the parish for many years to come.

Thank you, Tiffany and Anthony, for the gift of your time, talent, and passion to help our youth grow in faith, and for inspiring your parents to join us as well! You are all a blessing to the parish.
