Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is Sunday at the 9am Mass. Because of space constraints we will dismiss only the 3, 4 and 5 year old children to the Bride’s room . Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a time of prayer and reflection on God’s Word presented with child-friendly language and rituals. We have a wonderful team of adult leaders and older children who engage and enlighten our young parishioners by volunteering to lead Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Members of the Kairos ministry will be setting up tables and creating a prayer chain for prisoners that are building a Christian community within the prison, so that they may discover the transformative love of Jesus and seek forgiveness of their sins. Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a time of prayer and reflection on God’s Word presented with child-friendly language and rituals. We have a wonderful team of adult leaders and older children who engage and enlighten our young parishioners by volunteering to lead Children’s Liturgy of the Word. We need more people to help with this rewarding ministry. Please contact Bob Birmingham at dhurley@stjohnviera.org if interested. Children’s Liturgy will continue only with the help of new people who are willing to share in this ministry.
