When I graduated high school I was unsure what I wanted to do for a living, outside of performing. I studied Performing Arts and Elementary Education before deciding to seek an education in Travel and Tourism. Graduating from Southeastern provided me with the education and skill set I needed to work in Guest Relations/Services for Walt Disney World, travel agencies and Marriott and Hilton resorts. I worked in the industry for nearly 7 years before moving into Property Leasing in 1991 where I remained employed until retiring to become a Full Time mother and wife, the job closest to my heart.

When my daughters were in high school and facing college and careers I returned to the work force. Having been the perpetual School Volunteer nicknamed the “stay-at-home-mom that didn’t stay at home” I was unsure where to begin seeking employment. I worked substitute teaching, talent coaching and retail sales before finding the ideal position in February 2014 as Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Faith Formation Department at St. John the Evangelist.

When not at work I love to perform! I performed with a band for seven years at weddings, political fund raisers, bar mitzvahs, you name it! After marrying and starting my family I joined the church choir and became a Minister of the Word. When my daughters were two and three years old they performed with me at church functions, in nursing homes and retirement communities. This experience eventually led our family (husband, Danny, too) to the Cocoa Village Playhouse in 1999 where to date I have been in over 25 productions. It was the perfect segue from years of competing in the Miss America Scholarship program having been a finalist three times representing Tampa, Auburndale and the Florida Elks and after marrying becoming Ms. Florida USA in 1996.

I feel so blessed that God has given me so many wonderful opportunities to share my love for performing and meeting people. As a staff member at St. John’s I continue to meet wonderful families who come through our Catholic Summer Camp (VBS) and Religious Ed. classes and I love our dedicated volunteers who give so much of themselves to this ministry.
“May God bless you, and grant you long lives.” – Golde, “Fiddler on the Roof”
