Note that if you register, you will be asked to commit to the entire weekend, from 8 am to 9:30 pm on Saturday and 7 am to 3 pm on Sunday.

We invite you to embrace the transformative power of Christ Renews His Parish – a spiritual journey that invigorates your Catholic faith and enriches your spiritual perspective. In John 15:16, Jesus says, “You did not choose Me, I chose you,” and Christ Renews His Parish invites you to embark on a captivating weekend where the Holy Spirit ignites within, renewing the face of your life.
Picture this: a weekend filled with camaraderie, laughter and shared stories that resonate with the teachings of Christ Himself. Christ Renews His Parish is not a silent retreat it’s a vibrant, interactive experience tailored for SJE parishioners over 21. Gone are the pre-covid days of overnight stays; now you get to sleep in the comfort of your own bed and return to the Parish Center for a delicious breakfast prepared by our talented Kitchen Crew, all Christ Renews His Parish alumni.
During this fast-paced event, you’ll be engaged in reading scripture, listening to heartfelt witnesses, singing, creating and, of course, savoring wonderful meals. It’s a retreat that transcends the ordinary. You participate in sacramental events with Fr. John, Deacon Rick and additional clergy, leaving you in awe of “wow” and “awesome” moments. You come away from the weekend with the realization that there are no coincidences in life, only Holy Spirit moments. Those moments have always been there, now you recognize them for what they are. You will know you were called to attend and you’ll sense that your spiritual life won’t be quite the same going forward.
The first St. John the Evangelist Christ Renews His Parish weekend was presented in early 2010 and we have produced 54 weekends since, with close to one thousand SJE parishioners attending. The weekends are presented by a properly formed team of fellow parishioners. CRHP Teams 29 are in formation to present the next weekends in February 2025. “Come and See.” Jn 1:39 Come with an open mind and an open heart. Treat yourself to the gift of Christ Renews His Parish, an experience that you truly deserve. As it says in John 21:17, “If you love me, feed My sheep.” Feed your spiritual self and join us for a weekend of joy, renewal and lasting fellowship.
Mark your calendars for February 15-16 (Women) and February 22-23 (Men), 2025 and get ready to embrace the Christ Renews His Parish experience. In-person registration for the weekends will begin in January 2025, but on-line registration is available now. We hope to see you there.
