SJE4Veterans

Mission:
The purpose of the SJE4Veterans Ministry is to build the Veteran community within Saint John The Evangelist Parish. The Ministry was developed with the concept of Veterans meeting and supporting Veterans and military families.  The Ministry supports other ministries as the Farmworkers, Faith Formation, and Parish events.


SJE4Veterans focuses on the spiritual and social needs of our military and veteran community at St. John's. With a large veteran population in our community we strive to provide opportunities for our members to socialize, volunteer, and advocate for the veteran community.


SJE4Veterans provides patriotic presence at Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July and other celebrations.


Speakers at the bi-monthly meetings represent Military and Veteran organizations.

What is Cell Phones for Soldiers?

Cell Phones for Soldiers is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services and emergency funding to active-duty, Honorably Discharged and Retired Military members and veterans, and in some cases the spouses qualify as well.

 

What is the qualifier to receive the phones? Did you serve? Then you qualify. Easy as that.

 

What’s included? UNLIMITED, text, talk, data, internet plans for two years. And can be renewed for another two years!! And again, and again.

 

What’s the “catch”?  There is none.

 

What’s the cost? – There is no cost. You paid for it already by serving your country.

 

Remember, every phone handed out represents more than a device. It means the ability to call family members and loved ones. To schedule a medical appointment. To apply for a job. To connect with housing, VA benefits, and vital resources.

 

SJE4Veterans is honored to assist veterans and their families, next weekend, where our team will distribute phones to veterans and families who need them most.
