Kairos Prison Ministry
Kairos Prison Ministry is a Christ-centered ministry that shares the transforming love, hope, and forgiveness of Jesus Christ with those impacted by incarceration. Inspired by Christ’s words, “I was in prison and you visited me” (Matthew 25:36), Kairos volunteers serve through prayer, fellowship, and personal encounters that remind others they are loved by God and never beyond the reach of His mercy.
Our parish supports three Kairos ministries at the Central Florida Reception Center (CFRC):
- Kairos Inside – Brings the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to incarcerated men and women through a structured weekend retreat followed by ongoing Christian community and support.
- Kairos Outside – Provides encouragement, support, and Christian community for women whose lives have been impacted by the incarceration of a loved one.
- Kairos Torch – Ministers to incarcerated youth through mentoring, encouragement, and the opportunity to experience God’s unconditional love.
There are many ways to be part of Kairos—from serving on a ministry team to praying for participants and providing important behind-the-scenes support.
