St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community and the Knights of Columbus Council #6125 are proud to announce that Steve and Debbie Hogan are the Family of the Month for April 2024. Originally from Central Illinois, Steve and Debbie spent over 20 years in Indianapolis, Indiana, where they were members of St. Matthew’s Parish in Indianapolis. The Hogans have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Todd and Emily reside in Illinois; grandchildren Zack, Mitchell, and Aris also reside in Illinois as do granddaughters Annie and Ella. Regrettably, grandson Ryan Hogan was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2015 at age 21, and beloved daughter, Katie Thompson, who resided in Merritt Island, died on January 14, 2024, at age 47.
Steve and Debbie enjoy traveling on Father John’s Pilgrimages. Steve is a member of the Finance Committee, and Debbie is currently President of the Council for Catholic Women. Both Debbie and Steve have completed the Christ Renews His Parish retreats.
Steve and Debbie say that Jesus is the center of their lives. They attend daily Mass and have been guided and comforted through the tragedies in their lives by the power and love of Our Lord’s Holy Spirit. They are joyful and happy people, grateful for all the blessings God has showered on them over the years.
