St. John the Evangelist Community is pleased to name Carrie Seringer as the Family of the Month for October.
Carrie Seringer is joined by her son Phil, his wife Alex, and their 3 children Javier, Carla and Sofia. Fr. John married Phil and Alex in 2016 and baptized all of their children.
Carrie has been a member of St. John the Evangelist since 2010. She is an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at the 11 a.m. Mass, a new Sacristan and is a member of the Parish Finance Council. She is also the co-coordinator of the Christ Renews His Parish (or CHRP) Ministry, that prepares and offers 4 spiritual retreat weekends per year, 2 for women and 2 for men, for our parish and helps at the Welcome Dinners for new parishioners.
She has also been a greeter for the 11:00 a.m. Mass, helped organize Trunk or Treat, and participated in a “Why Catholic” small prayer group.
Carrie is the president of the University of Notre Dame Club of Melbourne and the Space Coast. The club is blessed to have the sponsorship of St. John the Evangelist for many of their events, such as Masses, the student sendoff, and speakers from the university on spiritual topics.
St. John’s is very blessed to have Carrie sharing her many talents with the parish.
